The world’s first diesel hybrid you can drive for up to 50 km/day, emission-free. Always wanted to drive an emission-free car without having to compromise on distance or lose out on the benefits of all-wheel drive? Our Volvo V60 Twin Engine is the answer - and the highlight of our Drive-E concept for sustainable motoring. You can travel up to 50 km a day on electric power, and reach a top speed of 230 km/h. Once you get behind the wheel of this revolutionary Volvo, you will see that driving an environmentally-friendly car doesn’t have to mean sacrificing driving pleasure. In addition, the Volvo V60 Twin Engine is, just like all our vehicles, 85% recyclable.
The hybrid system uses the same principles as the full hybrid system, and takes them a step further. The internal combustion engine is supported by a much more powerful electric motor (50 kW) and a more powerful battery (12 kWh). It is charged using a standard 230 V socket.
